For the presentation of its RB18, Red Bull did not want to offer too much in the eyes of the competition. Approaching a season where the unknown is total, the Austrian team has decided to present its new mount thanks to a showcar from the F1 slightly developed to avoid general disappointment among the general public.

Asked to react to this first public appearance of the latest from the Milton Keynes factories, Christian Horner quickly reassured about the RB18. “ Due to the new regulations, the car will evolve very, very quickly, warns the main Red Bull team. I think by the first race the car won't really look like that and I think the evolution will be very, very rapid as the season progresses.

You are always looking to improve. We can always learn from previous experiences but the brand new regulations will be focused on development, on how quickly teams become familiar with them. This is the biggest regulatory change that Formula 1 has seen in the last 30 or 40 years. Development will be substantial and rapid and with the budgetary ceiling it must be efficient. »

For this new season, Christian Horner and his men want “ build on what we achieved last year " as a goal " to try to retain the title (of Max Verstappen. Editor’s note). Red Bull's main team simply hopes they don't have " not missed anything in the new regulations and that no team pulled the rug out from under us because of the efforts we put into the 2021 season »
