Red Bull: Illegal testing?

After the affair on the Team Ferrari, it?s the turn of Red Bull that doubt sets in. The Austrian team carried out tests on the RB7 last weekend in Idiada in Spain. Neel Jani, test driver of the Taureau Rouge, took part in these tests focused on the aerodynamics of the car.

But the Swiss may have made an error which could have serious consequences by publishing a message on his tweeter profile. The test driver actually complained of “neck pain” caused following “high speed passages in corners”. The tweet has since been deleted from the site.

« We have not carried out high speed cornering tests or done any test that violates the regulations », Assured a Red Bull spokesperson on f1fanatic.co.uk. “ We carried out the tests in a straight line as permitted by the FIA »

Red Bull has also reportedly asked its test driver Neel Jani to no longer post his messages on Twitter.
