Red Bull ambushed in Singapore

Si Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) proved untouchable in qualifying for the Singapore GP, the four-time world champion must watch his back since both Red Bull will rush after him.

Max Verstappen came closest to Sebastian Vettel's lap record at Marina Bay, falling short by just over three tenths.

“The weekend has gone well so far. We increased our pace to reach this second place in qualifying, comments Max Verstappen. I took a few risks to achieve a good lap because, as we had planned, the others improved compared to the day before and in FP3. I may have lost a little time in the last sector but I can be satisfied overall. It was the best balance I had on my car all season. »

“My best time was more or less at the maximum of my abilities, recognizes Max Verstappen. Sebastian simply had a better lap. We have a good chance for tomorrow because our pace in the race is good, but the Ferraris seem to have found quite a bit of speed. The start will be important and any safety cars could influence the result. »

Daniel Ricciardo also intends to seize his chance, the Australian starting on the second row with Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari).

“I enjoy the challenge of urban circuits where you have to brush against walls. I feel ready to do laps for two hours even if it will be painful. I should be able to stay focused. I want this victory and I intend to get it”, warned the Australian.

Red Bull has not won at the Singapore GP since Sebastian Vettel's victory in 2013.
