While Red Bull expects to see his second stable Toro Rosso obtain better results than the first team due to the different Power Units installed on the RB12 and STR11, Dr. Helmut Marko, head of the Red Bull sector, keeps his drivers under pressure.
“We basically have long-term contracts within the Red Bull Junior Team program. This program is based on performance. To be clear, the one who doesn’t get results leaves.”, warned the Austrian on the official F1 website.
Asked about the possibility of seeing Max Verstappen within Red Bull Racing in 2017, Dr. Helmut Marko remains evasive. “Let’s wait and see what he does. The second season is sometimes harder than the first”, recalled the Red Bull advisor.
