The standings for this 2025 Miami GP are definitively set: George Russell retains his 3rd place and therefore his podium in Florida. At the end of the Miami Grand Prix, Red Bull had filed a complaint against the British driver. The reason? The Englishman had not slowed down sufficiently under Virtual Safety Car at 16:54 p.m. (22:54 p.m. French time), according to the Austrian team. In this situation, which occurs in the event of an incident on the track, drivers must indeed reduce their speed.

"We have filed a protest with the FIA regarding George Russell, confirmed Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull after the race. From the GPS we can see it very clearly, he has not reduced his speed, and the regulations are very clear that there must be a speed reduction. car continued to accelerate, just at a slower rate than it normally would have, but there is no real reduction in speed."

However, a few hours later and after hearing the parties concerned, the FIA rejected Red Bull's claim, considering it to be unfounded. "It is clear from the onboard images and telemetry that car No. 63 lifted off the accelerator as it passed the yellow flag zone, can be read in the report published by the FIAThe throttle was raised about 25% and this resulted in a torque reduction of about 30%."

“Article 26.1.a requires that the driver have 'perceptibly reduced speed' in a yellow flag area but does not specify whether this means a reduction in absolute speed or a reduction in speed relative to normal racing speed in the relevant part of the track. The speed of car No. 63 in the yellow flag area was considerably slower than normal racing speed, but the absolute speed when passing through the yellow flag area increased slightly,” specify the commissioners, who therefore clear George Russell of all suspicion.

Totally agree with the FIA's comments and decision! Lamentable comma trying to gain points on the green carpet!!! Toto WOLF would have won on this same carpet in 2021 for Masi's bad decision for Hamilton's 8th title but Mercedes' integrity remained intact by not doing so!!! It's all to their credit!!! QED!!!

Verstappen, as he often does, swung his hand, so Horner filed a protest, and Red Bull was ultimately dismissed. What a pitiful image the Austrian cans give!

Exactly what I thought. This team is becoming unbearable, between the treatment of its second drivers, Verstappen's appalling behavior on track, and Horner's whining. The result is a plummeting image that is doing a lot of harm to Red Bull and its other sponsors.

If we can't do it on the track, we have to try something else? Worthy of the Red Bull team....:(:(:(
