It's back! Four years after its first appearance at the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix, the special white and red "Honda" livery of Red Bull returns this weekend for the Japanese Grand Prix. After days of teasing on social media, the Austrian team unveiled its new colors on Tuesday, a livery that has been greatly appreciated by fans of Formula 1.

With this white and red livery, Red Bull pays tribute to its engine supplier, Honda, on its own circuit in Suzuka. A way to celebrate the fruitful collaboration between the Austrian team and the Japanese manufacturer, which began in 2019 and will end at the end of the 2025 season. With Honda, Red Bull has won four Drivers' titles (including one with a "rebadged" RBPT engine, in 2022) and two Constructors' titles. Red Bull and Honda kill two birds with one stone with this livery, since it also pays tribute to the Honda RA272, at the wheel of which Richie ginther gave the Japanese firm its first ever Formula 1 victory 60 years ago, at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix.

As with the livery used at the Turkish Grand Prix in 2021 – due to Covid-19, the Japanese Grand Prix was canceled that year – we find a mainly white dress, with the Red Bulls painted in… red, obviously. The driver's number is written in white on a red circle, like on the 272 Honda RA1965. The Honda logo on the back of the engine cover follows the stylistic code used by the Japanese manufacturer in the 60s. Unlike the 2021 livery, yellow is absent from this 2025 livery: probably to avoid confusion with the Racing Bulls, itself mainly white. As a reminder, Yuki tsunoda will contest his first Grand Prix with Red Bull this weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix, on home soil, replacing Liam Lawson, who has been demoted to Racing Bulls.

Well, precisely, since I am a collector of scale models, this mega marketing operation will not go through me!

A great collector's item for all the Japanese fans present at Suzuka who will rush to buy it because it will be the last livery of the Red Bull Honda epic and the only one used by a Japanese driver! Dollars will fall into the coffers of Red Bull and Honda
