Red Bull catches up in the afternoon

La matinee of the last day of testing in Jerez had seen the team Red Bull forced to stop its efforts following an ERS problem (the energy recovery system). Returning to the track just before the mid-day break, the car à camouflage livery, which was piloted this Wednesday by the Russian Daniil Kvyat, was able to progress normally in the afternoon, accumulating 64 laps to conclude these first winter tests.

“We managed to overcome our problem and we had a clean session in the afternoon, so I'm really happy to have had a lot of laps today, positive Kvyat. Overall, I think it was a very productive day, with lots of positives. I think we know where we are and where we want to be for the next test in Barcelona (February 19-22, Editor’s note). We've made good progress this week and I hope there's more to come. »

Same optimism for Guillaume Rocquelin, the head of race engineering. “We lost track time over the four days, which is always frustrating when you inevitably have a lot of things on the 'to do' list, but most of the program has been accomplished so I'd say we leave Jerez in “good shape”.
