Red Bull a cut above at Silverstone

Red Bull, after leaving Valencia noting that his RB6 could win on circuits that were not designed for it, arrived at Silverstone full of confidence. And, this Friday, the times fell. Without forcing, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber set the best time in each session. Before Saturday, during which the qualifying session will allow everyone's strengths to be judged, Red Bull is already impressing.

« It’s a circuit where the car makes a lot of difference, explain to us Sébastien Buemi (Toro Rosso). We saw it today with the Red Bulls who have great aerodynamics. They are much faster than the others. I truly think that Red Bull is truly a cut above everyone else. It will be difficult for the others to beat them. »

At Renault, we confirm this trend. If the rival teams work a lot, Red Bull is always one step ahead, especially on this type of track. “ The Red Bulls are a bit supernatural here, Eric Boullier tells us. On paper, it seems very difficult to be able to pick them up. »

Since the start of the season, Red Bull?s dominance has been challenged but the team has never collapsed. Equipped with a well-born RB6, the team worked very well, then adopting an F-duct invented by McLaren but it seems to have improved further (see elsewhere).

On Saturday, it is therefore as favorites that the Red Bulls will be expected. During the first nine qualifying sessions of the season, the Milton Keynes team won eight: four thanks to Sebastian Vettel, four by Mark Webber.
