By his own admission, having been in a state of decline before qualifying, the Italian prodigy managed to pull off a masterful turnaround to secure his third top 10 finish in as many races. Like the Japanese Ginkgo, young Kimi is in full bloom.

Let's leave aside the new record for the youngest driver to lead a Grand Prix (10 laps), since it was due to a long first stint. Let's forget his fastest lap at the end of the Grand Prix, due to a misaligned strategy and a tire advantage. Let's instead focus on how he managed to turn a predicted wreck into points.

A new little champion, Toto had seen the future well and we will see what he will do in 2026 with one more year to beat Russell more easily.
