Renault awaits its verdict

The team Renault is currently being heard by the FIA Court of Appeal in Paris for its suspension during the next European Grand Prix in Valencia which takes place this weekend. The diamond firm was thus inflicted with a suspension race following the affair of the wheel which detached from the car de Fernando Alonso during the last Hungarian Grand Prix at the end of July. The latter returned to the track following a refueling stop with a loose wheel which came off some time later.

Pat Symonds and Bob Bell, engineering director and technical director respectively, are present to represent the French team this Monday in Paris. The outcome of the appeal is expected on Tuesday afternoon by the team as well as the many supporters of Fernando Alonso who hope to see their hero on the streets of Valencia this weekend. If the appeal is rejected, the team led by Flavio Briatore will also have to wait for the Belgian Grand Prix to launch its new driver called to replace Nelson Piquet.
