Renault continues to progress

Many people thought that Renault would be very far from the mark this year, with a largely reshuffled team. And for the moment the diamond firm is doing more than well, and surprising many observers.

Éric Boullier, new strongman of the French team, is fully satisfied with the work of his troops, and was keen, after the finish, to congratulate Robert Kubica:

“Finishing fourth with Robert is another fantastic result for the team, declares the former member of the Dams team. We obviously benefited from the good performance during qualifying. Then Robert got off to a very good start. Subsequently, he drove remarkably and the car showed interesting potential.”

But Éric Boullier did not forget to greet his second pilot, who did not? has unfortunately still not seen the checkered flag of a world championship round of Formula 1 :

“Vitaly made progress at the start, he drove aggressively during the first laps, and had a good battle with Hamilton. It?s a real shame that he was forced to retire, I think he could have scored his first points today?

With 30 points in the constructors' world championship, the Renault F1 team is currently in fifth position, behind the four untouchables that seem to be Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull et Mercedes.
