Renault reconsiders its future in F1

After Ferrari yesterday, it is Renault's turn to officially announce its intention to reconsider its commitment to F1 through a press release. Registration for the 2010 championship is openly questioned.

As in other teams, the feeling of frustration is real among Renault F1 : “FOTA's proposals were ignored in their entirety by the FIA without prior consultation. »

“Our objective is to reduce costs while maintaining the standards that make Formula 1 one of the most prestigious brands in the world,” comments Flavio Briatore. “We want to achieve this goal in a coordinated manner with the sport's regulatory and commercial entities, and we refuse to accept unilateral governance from the FIA. If the decisions announced by the World Council on April 29, 2009 are not revised, we will have no choice but to withdraw from the FIA Formula 1 World Championship at the end of 2009."
