Renault Sport Racing unveils its academy

In addition to revealing the organization, pilots and (provisional) livery of the car du Renault Sport F1 Team, the Losange has confirmed the launch of the Renault Sports Academy.

Created to identify promising young talents and enable their development in the world of Renault Sport Racing (new name of the competition entity), the Renault academy will place its trust this season in Oliver Rowland, reigning Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion, as well as the drivers from the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0: the Briton Jack Aitken (winner of the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS), and the Swiss Louis Delétraz (winner of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC) and Kevin Jörg.

If Rowland, still supported by the British private sector Racing Steps Foundation, will compete in GP2 this season with MP Motorsport, Aitken and Jörg will compete in the GP3 Series. As for Delétraz, it is in Formula V8 3.5 that his future will be written. All three will be supported by Renault Sport Racing in their program.

“Our goal is for these drivers to become future World Champions with Renault Sport, comments Frédéric Vasseur, Renault Sport Racing competition director. We put all the tools at their disposal to enable them to achieve this objective. »

The program, supervised by Mia Sharizman Ismail, will include physical assessments for drivers and training camps before the season and during the winter break.
