Renault Sport Racing has announced an internal re-organization to prepare in particular for the next cycle of technical regulations in 2021.

Renault Sport Racing reviews its internal organization

2019 is not really smiling on Renault at the moment F1 Team. Seventh with only 12 points on the clock, the French team is far from the objectives announced at the start of the season by Cyril Abiteboul, director of Renault Sport Racing.

Stéphane Rodriguez, until now project manager for V8 and V6 turbo/hybrid engines, becomes Director of Projects and Purchasing, within the Technical Department. Both Christophe Mary and Stéphane Rodriguez will be under the leadership of Rémi Taffin, Engine Technical Director.

Matt Harman, who arrived at Renault in 2018 from Mercedes High Performance Powertrain and Mercedes F1 (transmission and engine integration) and today deputy chief designer, is for his part entrusted the engineering department at Enstone within the Technical Department and will report to Nick Chester, Chassis Technical Director.
