A delicate recovery for Esteban Ocon and Alpine in Pyas-Bas

For his return after four weeks of break, Esteban Ocon would undoubtedly have liked to have had a better Friday. If the first tests were truncated by the rain and a drying track finished in 18th position, the driver Alpine did not experience the expected performance gain during the seconds. 

Despite the adjustments made between the two sessions, the Norman had a lot of trouble putting everything together. The final result and his 17th more than 4 tenths from his teammate Pierre Gasly revealed a lack of rhythm at the start of the weekend. When debriefing these two hours of driving, Esteban Ocon was quite lucid, pointing out the constant irregularities of his A524. 

« It wasn't the easiest day for us, admis Stephen Ocon. We started off a little defensively and we need to find improvements. We need to turn things around and we still have a lot of work to do to progress and be better placed. 

We have seen some irregularities in our performance in recent races and we are ready to work hard. We made some set-up changes after Free Practice 1, so we need to look at where our lack of performance is coming from here. However, we already have good clues on what needs to be improved to be more competitive in qualifying. »
