Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won his fifth victory in Great Britain, equaling Alain Prost and Jim Clark, after having beaten his teammate Valtteri Bottas and Ferrari by Kimi Räikkönen. The end of the race was marked by tire problems for the two SF70Hs of Räikkönen and Hag, causing the German to lose fourth place, which thus saw Hamilton return to one point in the championship.
