A look back at Rosberg's victory at the 2016 Bahrain GP

Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) won the 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix by dominating the race and winning by around ten seconds over Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), while Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) completed the podium half a minute behind his former teammate.

Lewis Hamilton took pole ahead of Nico Rosberg, but the Briton missed his start and was caught by Valtteri Bottas (Williams). His German teammate was thus able to take the lead of the race and dominate the event to sign his second consecutive victory, remaining undefeated at the start of the 2016 season.

Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) finished at the foot of the podium, preceding Romain Grosjean (Haas) who made a remarkable start to the season with the new American team. Max Verstappen (Toro Rosso) took the points for 6th place by being the last driver to finish in the winner's lap.

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) could not even start the Bahrain GP. The SF16-H's engine died on the formation lap while the Scuderia resident had to start from 3rd position on the grid.
