I have always preferred to see teams like McLaren, Ferrari or Williams at the top of the table, because they have an identity (the name of their founder) and their main reason for being is to race in F1. This gives F1 a certain stability, a history, whereas teams founded by manufacturers or multinationals are secondary activities and always risk disappearing abruptly due to changes in the direction of the boards of directors or a drop in competitiveness. We see this very well with Renault at the moment, which is distancing itself, or Honda which comes and goes in F1. It is therefore preferable for F1 to be based on historic teams with a strong identity than on the sometimes ephemeral and somewhat artificial constructions of large companies which only see F1 as a means of advertising.
