Retro F1 2024 – The comeback: Flavio Briatore

It took the Italian manager fifteen years to return to the limelight thanks to his compatriot Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault group. A return to grace that was thought impossible after the "crashgate" of 2008 which forever tarnished the integrity of the French manufacturer.

Well, the real roadmap set by Luca De Méo to his Italian compatriot is the following: "You solve the problems between frog eaters and roast beefs, you find me a high-performance and especially cheap engine, you beautify the bride in order to sell her with an engine contract in 2026 for 2,5 to 3 billion dollars; after that, you retire and we celebrate all this at your place at the Billionaire in Porto Cervo or Saint Moritz, capito!"
