Arrogance versus contempt, escalating verbal altercations, the point of no return was reached when Mario Andretti accepted an invitation from the American Congress to talk about the candidacy of the team led by his son, and to discuss the obstacles encountered.
When one was solved, another appeared that Michael Andretti managed to overcome again.

When we note that Toyota is returning to F1 as a "simple" sponsor of Haas while the initial arrangement with Cadillac proposed by Michael Andretti seemed quite similar, we can well imagine the real enmity between Michael Andretti and Greg Maffei. Enmity certainly increased since Mario Andretti responded to an invitation from the American Congress which, intentionally or not, triggered the intervention of the Yankee Justice Department with Liberty Live in the context of accusations of illegal monopoly. But in the land of the king dollar, everything can be arranged for a few solid dollars!
