Reutemann leaves intensive care

Carlos Reutemann is doing better and that is very good news. Admitted to intensive care after a digestive hemorrhage on May 6 in a hospital in Santa Fe, the 79-year-old former Argentinian pilot then suffered a relapse, thus worsening his state of health.

Carlos Reutemann was admitted to hospital on May 6 when he simply had to present himself for a routine check-up after his liver cancer operation in 2017 and a possible case of anemia.

The famous digestive hemorrhage was then detected which worsened his state of health even forcing him to be placed in intensive care. A time on respiratory assistance, the now national senator no longer has digestive bleeding, medical teams indicated. He is now in a common room, still under the supervision of doctors.

Funny coincidence, this Monday May 17 also marks the 40th anniversary of his last victory in Formula 1. It was in 1981 near Zolder in Belgium with Williams.
