Ricciardo dominates the rankings at the break this Friday

A few hours before the end of the 2020 off-season, the teams are increasingly teasing the clock on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

At the end of the last morning of Catalan driving, the best brand is owned by Daniel Ricciardo in 1’16”276. The pilot Renault, shod with the softest and fastest Pirelli C5, is 0”084 ahead of Ferrari SF1000 Charles Leclerc, who was using the same tires during his best attempt.

After his engine problems the day before, Lewis Hamilton completes the top three with the new Mercedes W11. The six-time world champion had a productive morning with no less than 90 laps covered.

The Briton takes in his wake the Racing Point of Sergio Pérez, which continues to display good performances, and the McLaren de Carlos Sainz. The Mexican's time, 0"382 behind Ricciardo, is all the more impressive as his RP20 was running on the medium C3 tire during his flying lap.

George Russell takes the 6th time at the wheel of the Williams FW43 and precedesAlpha Tauri AT01 by Daniil Kvyat. Two Ferrari-powered single-seaters follow: la Haas VF-20 Romain Grosjean and l'Alfa Romeo C39 by Kimi Räikkönen. Alexander albon, who suffered a spin without consequence, completes the Top 10 this morning.

The 2020 winter tests conclude this afternoon with a final 4-hour run which begins at 14:00 p.m. and which will still be followed live via our live-text.
