Ricciardo: The advantage over Vergne is slight

If Jean-Eric Vergne only took part in a few free practice sessions at the end of the season, Daniel Ricciardo already has eleven Grand Prix starts under his helmet. The Australian will therefore leave with a clear advantage over the Frenchman at the start of the season which will take place in Melbourne. However, JEV has astonishing adaptation skills and the Australian believes that his experience will only be beneficial in the first races of the Championship.

“I will have the advantage of experience, it’s a plus compared to him”, recognizes the former HRT driver. “But we’re not talking about years of experience here. This should help me start my season and maybe it will be easier for me for a race or two. But if Jean-Eric has the necessary qualities for F1, which he has also proven, the advantage of this experience should not last the entire season. We will also arrive in Melbourne after having completed several test sessions. So things should balance out pretty quickly, at least in theory! »
