Ricciardo: Sochi did not smile at Red Bull

Daniel Ricciardo will arrive in Sochi reinforced by his fourth place won at the Chinese Grand Prix. The pilot Red Bull remains wary for the Russian race after experiencing difficult weekends. The Australian had to retire in 2015 following a suspension problem.

“The track hasn’t suited us well in the last two years, but we had some great races this year on circuits that didn’t favor us either”, said Daniel Ricciardo. “There wasn't a lot of grip in the past. It was better during the last edition but it was still quite slippery. We haven't made many stops in previous races on this circuit. »

His teammate Daniil Kvyat will be even more confident as he plays at home. The Russian won his first podium of the season in Shanghai and remains on a fifth place obtained in Sochi.

“It’s a very modern track which has a few corners which seem quite similar but which are never easy to pass because you constantly have to drive at the limit… It will be an epic week which makes me think back to Daniel’s in Australia”, commented Daniil Kvyat.
