Ricciardo: a chance destroyed by the safety cars

Daniel Ricciardo can is delighted with this second place acquired at the Singapore GP between the Ferrari de Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen. If thee pilot Red Bull was never able to directly threaten the four-time world champion, he still managed to follow the pace displayed by the winner.

If he had his eternal smile when he got off his car, the Australian still seems a little frustrated with his race where he felt he had a chance of winning without the intervention of the safety cars following the accident between Felipe Massa and Nico Hulkenberg and the presence of a spectator on the track.

“I think I could have been very close without the safety cars. Maybe I could pull off an undercut.. The safety cars entered the track at a crucial moment. But the pace (of Sebastian Vettel) was efficient and fairly representative of qualifying. Looks like I had the second fastest car today.”, commented the Australian who signed his second podium of the season after that obtained in Hungary last July.
