Nothing is lost for Force India

At the end of the Korean GP, Force India left with three points ahead of the threat Williams. The Indian team thus regained confidence, which was deeply lacking among Vijay Mallya's men who were watching Williams' inexorable rise. The sixth team in the Championship is now preparing for the Brazilian GP, which always reserves its share of surprises.

« We left Korea feeling really satisfied with this result. (sixth place for Vitantonio Liuzzi), especially after several difficult races », recognizes Vijay Mallya. “ We can of course remain optimistic about our chances of a sixth place in the Championship at this stage of the game. »

The Force India president hopes to take advantage of the ups and downs of the race to score another positive result after the Korean GP. “ I hope Interlagos will be a good circuit for us “, continues Vijay Mallya. “ The downforce is lower and the drivers have done well on this circuit in the past. »

The president of the Indian team is also banking on the variable weather at Interlagos to hope to gain positions. “ There can also be bad conditions, where we put ourselves to our advantage, like in Canada or Korea. We qualified well last year and even though the competition has become tougher and closer, I still hope we will put in a good performance. »

Vijay Mallya now expects better qualifying from the Indian single-seaters to hope to obtain a good result. “ We will add new improvements and some mechanical modifications to try to get the best out of the car. We saw that we did not make the most of the car's potential in qualifying for the Korean GP. We will try to improve that in Brazil to have a better race. This is really the home stretch. We will pull together to do our best. »
