Rio Haryanto confirmed at Manor Racing

Rio Haryanto is the last driver confirmed on the starting grids for the 2016 F1 season. The Indonesian will play at Manor.

Manor Racing has confirmed its second driver for the 2016 season F1. The 23-year-old Indonesian distinguished himself last year in the GP2 Series by finishing in fourth place in the Championship with Campos Racing. His performances allowed him to benefit from the support of his government which financed his season.

“Manor Racing is a team that has an exciting vision and ambitious projects. Melbourne (which opens the season on March 20) will be a great moment for me, for my country and my supporters”, commented the new recruit.

Rio Haryanto will play alongside Pascal Wehrlein within the structure which will also compete in the WEC in the LMP2 category. Both drivers will have their first season in F1.
