Robert Kubica still believes in his return to Formula 1

He is still convinced of it. Robert Kubica aims to return to Formula 1. Nearly two years after his horrific accident at rally Italian Ronde di Andora, where the Pole suffered multiple fractures and almost lost his right hand, the former BMW driver and Renault never returned to the cockpit of an F1 car. After a significant number of operations aimed at improving the mobility of his right arm and hand, the driver made his return to competition last year, during a rally in Italy, which he won by the same occasion, after a year and a half spent away from the wheel. Latest news to date, Robert Kubica is participating this Thursday in a day of testing aboard a DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé, on the Valencia circuit. If he makes no comments about his near future, the driver still thinks about F1, as he confides in F1 Racing magazine.

“I still believe I can come back”, he announces. “It's not just a dream. Currently I have difficulties driving single-seaters, but they are not as bad as they seem from the outside. Things are getting better,” positive Robert Kubica. “It wasn’t like this six months ago, and it wasn’t like this three months ago. And thanks to rallies and circuit tests, slowly my condition is improving, although there is always a long way to go. » Admitting that he is not " not easy " watching Formula 1 since the premature end of his career, the Pole remains positive. “If I'm lucky and I continue to work and all the conditions are right, then maybe one day I'll drive an F1 car.”
