Robert Kubica trained well in the Mercedes simulator!

He simulated his return to the highest level! Robert Kubica still has the Formula 1 on your mind. He has never even hidden it since his terrible accident in February 2011: the Polish driver dreams of returning to the premier category. If this long-awaited return is still very hypothetical, the former BMW driver and Renault has just taken a new step forward since he went to the stable factory Mercedes, based in Brackley in Great Britain, to train in the F1 simulator. What seemed like a crazy rumor, revealed by the German newspaper Bild, has just been confirmed by the main person concerned.

“I can say it, yes, I was there”, declared the native of Krakow to our British colleagues d?Autosport. “But I won't say how long I stayed there or how many laps I did. But yes, I was in the Mercedes F1 simulator?. Very close to Toto wolff, the new strong man of the German team, the Pole had already been offered in January a DTM test aboard a Mercedes. But Robert Kubica, who was still this weekend in the ERC in the Azores on a Citroën DS3 RRC, preferred to concentrate on the?ERC and the WRC2. Still very handicapped by the mobility of his right arm, Robert Kubica said to himself “too limited” to return to a single-seater in the month of January. If it is only a simulator and we do not yet know the pilot's feelings, all this indicates an undeniable improvement in his physical condition.
