Romain Grosjean in his element in Montreal

Romain Grosjean achieved a second place as a career best result in F1. The Lotus driver was notably on the second step of the podium at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2012. A necessarily special memory for the former GP2 Series champion, when returning to the Gilles Villeneuve track.

More than this result, the Frenchman admits to appreciating the Montreal track and its very particular configuration.. " I love the feeling of being close to the walls. Montreal is located between a classic circuit and an urban circuit, specifies the pilotenstone. The walls are very close in some places, while other parts are similar to a European circuit. This is unique and we normally bring a different aero package for this reason, which adds another unknown factor for the weekend. The circuit is not used during the rest of the year, so the grip will change a lot. We have to adapt and the weather can also be difficult. »

After three consecutive races in the points, before the complicated end of the race in the Principality continued to the spectacular accident of Max Verstappen, having hit his E23 Hybrid while braking at Sainte-Dévote, Grosjean will once again aim for a top 10 on Canadian soil.
