Romain Grosjean fails to reach points

After the double retirement of the Lotus E23 Hybrids on the first lap in Melbourne, Australia, Romain Grosjean logically aimed for points this Sunday. Tenth on the grid following his penalty received yesterday, but third after the entry of the safety car at the start of the race the Frenchman finally failed in 11th place after a Grand Prix marked in particular by a collision with the Force India of Sergio Pérez.

“Overall we had a very good race with a very good first lap and some nice overtakes, even if I lost a lot of time behind Hulkenberg then in the spin with Pérez in a very fast corner. I took pleasure in the fights with Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Force India. We had a good strategy but we lost too much time to take advantage of it. I also had a problem with my drink bottle. Overall the car performed well and we're not far from the top ten so we'll work to close the gap for China. »
indicates the Frenchman.

Pastor Maldonado also had a complicated race, with a puncture on the first lap, a penalty for breaking the regulations behind the safety car, then a retirement nine laps from the goal following a brake problem.
