Romain Grosjean: “Not the best day”

The team Lotus was not successful this Friday in Barcelona. After the gearbox problem suffered by the Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado, it is the body of the car de Romain Grosjean which fell apart on the pit straight, causing the session to be interrupted to clean the track.

“It wasn't the best day for me with my absence in FP1 and then the spectacular problem with the bodywork, confesses the Frenchman. It means that I will have a lot of work to do during free practice 3 before tomorrow's qualifying. Of course we all know this circuit very well, but you always want to get as much track time as possible. On the positive side, we know there is good potential with the car, so if we can have a decent day tomorrow we will be capable of good things this weekend. »

Lotus, through its technical director Nick Chester, clarified thatfixing the bodywork had given way, causing the engine cover of Grosjean's car to dislocate.
