After a failed communication last week, the French driver and the Enstone team announced the extension of their collaboration for 2015.

Romain Grosjean continues with Lotus F1 Team

The famous tweet deleted from Romain Grosjean Last week caused quite a stir. The Frenchman announced that he was staying with Lotus in 2015, before deleting his tweet in the following seconds. “A misunderstanding in communication”, had finally explained the training ofenstone. This Wednesday, the continuation of the collaboration between the former GP2 champion and the British team is now official. This will be the third consecutive season for the Geneva native within Lotus.

“It’s fantastic for me to continue with Lotus F1 Team in 2015 and it's great to have the support of everyone at Enstone,
Grosjean said. Everyone knows we have had a very difficult season, but the team has remained focused and we are all determined to get back to regular points scoring in 2015. I have spent a lot of time recently at Enstone and I I am very positive about the potential of the E23, and about the team's return to form. There is one race left in 2014 so I will push to do the best job possible in Abu Dhabi before focusing entirely on 2015.”

Gérard Lopez finally holds his duo for the next season with the Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado. “We know that Romain will always get the most out of the car at his disposal, which is why we look forward to exploiting his potential with the powertrain Mercedes-Benz in 2015.” indicated the owner of Lotus who will indeed swap the Power Unit Renault for the famous German turbo/hybrid V6, dominating this year in F1.
