Romain Grosjean finally meets expectations

After two disappointments in Australia and Malaysia, mistakes were no longer allowed for Romain Grosjean who was supposed to bring home points for his team. By starting from tenth place on the grid of the Chinese GP, the Frenchman was able to combine patience and combativeness to take sixth position and secure points for Lotus F1 Team after his teammate Kimi Räikkönen fell in the standings with dying tires while in second place. The weekend in Shanghai was conclusive for the GP2 Series champion who hopes to be able to finish even higher in the future.

“It was a very good race, I regret my little mistake when I was fighting with Mark (Webber) but this result is overall satisfactory”, comments the Frenchman. " The car was superb and the team did a fantastic job making improvements to the car compared to Friday. I am really happy for the team to have been able to finish the race with good points. Being able to fight with McLaren et Red Bull is a fantastic feeling and I can only look forward to finally opening my counter in this season. We have high hopes since this third place on the grid in Melbourne. After a few setbacks, it's time to aim higher. There is always room to progress and we can clearly aim for a top five or even podiums. We will take things point by point but I am confident for the rest of the season. »
