Rosberg will have a lot to do at the Monaco GP

Nico Rosberg will aim for a third consecutive victory in Monaco, but his task will be far from easy since the pilot Mercedes will start behind his teammate Lewis Hamilton who was out of reach even if the double winner of the event missed his second flying lap by blocking the wheels at Sainte-Dévote.

“It happened a little opposite to Lewis”, commented Nico Rosberg at a press conference. “I had a good pace going into qualifying, a speed that I hadn't had until now, and I lacked it a little at the end. I took a risk because I knew Lewis was going to be fast but it didn't work out. »

Nico Rosberg was hopeful of competing with his rival for the title in his second flying round. “I was very close and I thought I could go even faster. I changed the balance because I had too much understeer on my first flying lap. But it didn't. »

The German will not be penalized by his wheel lock in Q2 since he qualified with a different set of tires.

The Monaco Grand Prix will start tomorrow at 14 p.m. and can be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
