Rosberg: this problem has never happened before

Nico Rosberg managed to take pole at the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, beating his teammate by a tenth Lewis Hamilton. However, the local driver only had one opportunity in Q3 following Electronic issues detailed by technical director Paddy Lowe.

“It happened suddenly. I suddenly lost the accelerator, explained Nico Rosberg at a press conference. The engine cut out at the end of the lap. It was disappointing but I'm sure the problem will be resolved tomorrow. This has never happened before. The race promises to be interesting against Lewis (Hamilton), Red Bull and Ferrari even if the latter are a little behind. »

Nico Rosberg managed to set the benchmark lap during his second outing in Q3. “It was a great ride, recognized the German. I had extra gas just in case. I could have made a mistake and I needed enough fuel to complete three laps. It must have cost me a little time and I was even more satisfied with this time. »
