Rosberg: last GP with Williams

Nico Rosberg leaves Williams after four years of collaboration. The news is not a surprise, as the driver is coveted during this transfer period, especially by Mercedes who, after wanting to place him with McLaren, should find him at Brawn GP. However, the German driver, very attached to the Grove team, had admitted more than once that staying with Williams in 2010 was an option.

But, this Thursday, in Abu Dhabi, Nico Rosberg admitted that the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix would be his last race within Franck Williams' team. “ It?s my last race with Williams so it?s a bit strange », admitted Rosberg to the journalists present. The latter therefore sees a talented driver slip by, who has only one desire: to drive a car that can win in the race. Currently seventh in the drivers' standings for the 2009 season, Nico Rosberg was unable to secure a podium, notably due to the limitations of his car. But, in Singapore, then second and in position to achieve his first podium of the year, the German had bitten the pit exit line, receiving a pit stop penalty.

Nico Hulkenberg (2 GP2009 Series champion) and Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP) are expected to join the British team.
