Rosberg: “Exciting qualifying”

Nico Rosberg failed to achieve the same performance as last year at the Brazilian Grand Prix by taking pole at the Interlagos circuit. The pilot Mercedes, who is still 19 points ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton two races from the end of the season, lost a tenth behind the three-time world champion.

“It was definitely an exciting qualifying session, commented Nico Rosberg in the Sao Paulo paddock. Lewis was a little bit faster at the end. My lap was also good but not good enough. We have seen, however, that the one who starts on pole does not always win the race. I remain optimistic for tomorrow because I want to play for the win. »

Nico Rosberg is also not worried about the weather forecast predicting rain for the race.

“I'm not thinking about what I have the most to lose at the moment. No matter the conditions, we will deal with it. We have a car fantastic in all types of conditions, whether in the dry or in the rain. It promises to be interesting. I intend to attack Lewis at the first corner, even if it won't be easy because the straight line preceding him is very short (from the start),” warned Nico Rosberg.

Nico Rosberg will win his first world title if he wins the Brazilian Grand Prix.
