Rosberg at the top of the hierarchy

The “free practice world champion” was once again the fastest during the first session of the Turkish Grand Prix. A session which suggests a hierarchy consistent with the start of the season.

Rosberg at the top of the hierarchy

By waiting for their renewal, some teams are starting to run out of patience. However, we find some nice surprises here and there. Lewis Hamilton, long leader of this first free practice session under the Turkish sun, once again takes pleasure in occupying the top of the lists. After a chaotic Monaco Grand Prix (accident in qualifying, race taken to the back), the Briton is enjoying an expected return to the forefront. However, Hamilton will have to wait to face the racing conditions before rejoicing, having set the best time in Free 1 in China and Bahrain.

Sebastian Vettel, a few seconds from the end, was very close to stealing the reference time, but it was ultimately Nico Rosberg who was entitled to this honor. As is often the case, the Wiliams driver was the fastest, setting his tenth reference time in 19 free practice sessions in 2009. However, the German will defend his good performances with a car light in essence. We will then have to wait for the next sessions to find confirmation.
