Rosberg: “Keep a good spirit in the team”

“The incident is behind us.” Before the Monaco Grand Prix, unanimity was required in the Mercedes clan after the collision between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg on the first lap of the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

At a press conference, Rosberg was logically questioned on this subject, in particular to discuss a potential discussion with his British teammate. “Whether we spoke or not should be kept internal, proclaimed the vice-world champion. What I can say is that between us this is something that is in the past now, we are moving forward with this and the relationship is the same as before. Now, on track, I'm not going to think about Barcelona. I will have the same approach, as always: to be all in and do what is necessary to try to win this grand prize. »

Rosberg clarified that for him, cohesion within the team Mercedes was important, but no instructions had been given about discussing the subject outside the team. “There comes a point where we try to keep good spirit in the team and win a lot of races. There is a balance and, for some things, it is simply better not to share. We talked as a team. »
