Rosberg: “The race was decided at the start”

Nico Rosberg signed his 3rd victory in 4 races by winning the Austrian GP against Lewis Hamilton. The weekend was off to a bad start for the German who missed pole by making a mistake in his last flying lap while his teammate had gone off the track, but the German driver took the advantage at the start by performing better flight.

“I found this year what I needed to be a little faster in the race and it works”, commented the winner in the paddock of the Red Bull ring. « The race was decided at the start. I got off to a good start and managed to defend my position in the first turns. I was then able to attack fully. I was very satisfied with my car seeing the gap widen against Lewis. Everything worked perfectly today. »

Nico Rosberg was still nervous during the final laps due to a vibration on his front right tire. “I asked my team to keep an eye on it. But it held up and didn't pose any real problem. I was just a little embarrassed when it happened.", added the pilot Mercedes.
