Rosberg: “Lewis must be sick”

Nico Rosberg left the Sepang circuit with a 23-point lead over his teammate Lewis Hamilton. The first part of the race of the Malaysian Grand Prix, however, suggested that the Briton was going to reduce his delay on the leader of the Championship since he was well established at the head of the race while the German fell to the bottom of the ranking after being hung by Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) at the first turn.

“I'm a little tired after this race, but it's a good time and I'm already focused on the next race (next weekend in Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix), commented Nico Rosberg. I thought it was all over in the first corner and I'm happy with my climb back to the podium. I would have liked to have had a better race but that’s how it happens sometimes. »

Nico Rosberg especially benefited from the retirement due to engine failure of Lewis Hamilton who had victory within reach.

“It doesn’t have the same effect as a victory because I only took third place and the race was difficult. I am still satisfied with the result because I did not think that the podium was possible, added the German at a press conference. I've been in Lewis's position before, I know how difficult these times are and I'm sure he must be sickened. »
