Rosberg: “Mercedes can beat Red Bull”

After a disappointing 2012 campaign, the team Mercedes was determined to turn things around with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg from 2013. Winner at Monaco and Silverstone with Rosberg then at the Hungaroring with Hamilton, the brand with the star finished vice-champion behind Red Bull.

Despite a gap of 236 points with the Austrian world champions at the end of the 2013 financial year, the Mercedes team and its driver Nico Rosberg are confident.

“We have made big progress and everyone thinks Mercedes can beat Red Bull, announced Keke's son. We showed our competence to build a very good car and take a big step forward during the off-season. We must ride the positive wave of the end of the year and everyone in the team is convinced that it is possible to win,” concluded the 28-year-old German.

With brand new technical regulations in force for 2014, the cards should be partly redistributed. The Mercedes 6L V1,6 block would, according to certain information, have the advantage over its adversaries Renault et Ferrari but this obviously remains to be proven. As usual, we will have to wait for the first offseason tests to try to see a little more clearly in the hierarchy F1.
