Rosberg is banking mainly on the departure to Abu Dhabi

Nico Rosberg secured pole at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but his rival Lewis Hamilton also points to the front line and can be content to maintain this position to secure the title on the Yas Marina circuit. However, the Williams de Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa in ambush could come to sow trouble in the duel for the coronation at Mercedes, what the poleman dreams of who must take 17 points in this double points race.

The German mainly focuses on the start, the track not offering many overtaking opportunities. “If a driver gets a good start, it’s practically impossible to overtake him afterwards.”, commented Nico Rosberg. “For example, you cannot overtake a Williams on the track but only in the pits. And that is fortunate. I put myself in an overtaking situation during testing. I was behind a Ferrari, a much slower car than a Williams, and I couldn't take the advantage. Maybe he’ll make a mistake? That could happen too, who knows?
