Rosberg gains momentum

Regularly in the points, Nico Rosberg once again proved at the Nürburgring that he has some serious driving skills. This is evidenced by his first lap, where he managed to overtake six competitors to climb to 9th provisional position. Fourth at the finish, he even managed to place ahead of the leader of the World Championship, Jenson Button.

After securing two fifth places in Turkey and Great Britain, Nico Rosberg signed his best result of the season in Germany. A performance which does not leave indifferent Sam Michaël, the technical director of the team Whole grained. " It's very subjective but, if you judge his progress in the peloton and his recent performances in the first laps, it's clear that Nico is driving very well at the moment. His first lap at the Nürburgring reminds me of the one he did in Istanbul where he also gained many places on the first lap (he went from 9th to 5th place after the first loop, editor's note). »

Before heading to Hungary, Michaël also confirmed the progress of the car with the addition of new improvements on the FW 31. “ We should be competitive there too He continues. " We will have improvements in Budapest, but all teams must gain 0.2 sec. every race to stay where they are. It's very tight and you can't afford not to bring new parts to every race He concluded.
