Rosberg wins against Hamilton at the Austrian GP

Nico Rosberg signs his 3rd victory of the season by winning for the second consecutive year at the Austrian GP. If the German started from 2nd position against the pole sitter Lewis Hamilton, the winner took the advantage by achieving a better takeoff and retained his leading position until the finish to come back to ten points behind the double world champion who could only secure a new double at Mercedes.

Felipe Massa takes the podium after managing to overtake Sebastian Vettel following a poor pit stop by the driver of the Team Ferrari. The quadruple world champion, who lost around ten seconds following a blocked wheel, failed to find the opening on the Williams. Valtteri Bottas completed the result for the Grove stable by completing the top five.

Nico Hulkenberg took 6th place, a week after his victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, ahead of Pastor Maldonado who almost went off the track twice, but who still managed to take the advantage over Max Verstappen. Sergio Pérez ranks 9th ahead Daniel Ricciardo which places at least one Red Bull in the top ten after completing a long first stint.

No less than six drivers retired from the Austrian GP. Romain Grosjean, Carlos Sainz Jr and Jenson Button have encountered mechanical problems, but it is the connection between Kimi Räikkönen and Fernando Alonso which marked the start of the race. The Ferrari driver lost control of his SF15-T and took the McLaren from Asturias.
