Ross Brawn leaving for Honda and McLaren?

Ross Brawn would join Honda for the return of the Japanese engine manufacturer with McLaren in 2015. According to Sport Bild, the British engineer would leave his position as Team Principal at Mercedes AMG F1 at the end of the year to be replaced by Paddy Lowe. The Brackley team has always wanted to highlight its support for Ross Brawn, but there is no longer much doubt about replacing the latter with the former technical director.

The information was quickly denied by Mercedes AMG F1, which spoke directly on its Twitter account. Indicating that she received “a lot of questions about the information on the Internet, but she had nothing to announce from the team side” The Stuttgart manufacturer even has non-executive president Niki Lauda. “There are no long-term decisions made. This is the case now as it has been for quite some time. » McLaren had however announced last weekend that we should expect recruitments which would make “the headlines” according to Martin Whitmarsh.
