As if it hadn't already been done, Lewis Hamilton entered a little more into the history of F1 after the Turkish Grand Prix. After a masterfully managed race, the Englishman, although starting from 6th place on the grid, won a 94th victory and a 7th world title equaling at the same time Michael Schumacher.
An incredible performance which makes him, whether we like it or not, the greatest driver of all time. In the paddock, this obviously did not go unnoticed and many people congratulated him, including Ross Brawn, former team engineer and now F1 Motor Sports director.
« Congratulations to Lewis. He showed why he is an exceptional talent, he first emphasizes in his traditional post-race column. In Turkey, despite his team's difficulties finding rhythm throughout the weekend on a slippery track and in the cold, he showed patience, chose a good strategy and attacked at the opportune moment.
He knew how to make the tires work when no other driver could. It was a perfect demonstration of what he is: a seven-time world champion, the equal of Michael Schumacher. It’s the kind of performance you only see once. I had the chance to experience it twice ».
Lewis Hamilton warned this Sunday after his coronation: “ I feel like this is just the beginning ". Ross Brawn is going his way. “ He is at the peak of his career. And I don't know when his form will start to decline ". Not right away anyway.
