Rossi rules out F1 finish at Monza

Valentino Rossi, leader of the world championship MotoGP, once again had to face rumors sending him into the race seat. Ferrari en Formula 1. Rossi reiterated this weekend in Brno, where he won, that his priority was MotoGP. Despite the absence of Felipe Massa for convalescence, and the non-return of Michael Schumacher, the Italian driver has ruled out moving to the wheel of a Ferrari in the near future, while transalpine observers are dreaming of Rossi leaving at the Italian Grand Prix.

« Racing for Ferrari at Monza is impossible, revealed Rossi in Brno. I am totally focused on the MotoGP World Championship. As far as I'm concerned, this is just a journalist's hypothesis. I know a lot of people would love to see me in the car at this race. But that is not possible. There would be too many things to work out in order for me to be competitive. I am not sufficiently prepared, in particular to withstand the constraints of F1, especially on the neck. » Valentino Rossi's statement comes a few days after Michael Schumacher's withdrawal from the European Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion had to throw in the towel, not feeling capable of resisting the force exerted on his neck, a few months after a motorcycle accident which still made him feel pain in the neck.

Valentino Rossi, rather than giving hope to fans impatient to see him compete in an F1 Grand Prix, especially at Monza, prefers to display his realism. “ With the preparation that would be necessary (for an F1 GP), plus the preparation that I need for MotoGP, I think it is an impossible proposition to meet. »
