Future Williams driver in 2019 in Formula 1, George Russell is well placed to become Formula 2 champion this weekend in Abu Dhabi. The 20-year-old Briton takes stock for CARhebdo on his passion for motorsport and the progress of his promising career.

The Englishman will become Robert Kubica's teammate in 2019, in a team Williams in full reconstruction. A duel which served the cause of the ART Grand Prix driver in the antechamber of F1. “My performances against him only stood out more. I have confidence in my abilities. I knew I could get the best of him. All this hype can be negative and unnecessary pressure.

Norris' promotion at McLaren helped me in the negotiations. If he was deemed ready for F1 while he was behind me in the championship, it could only be positive for my image and my future. »
